are number plates of classic cars worth much? if so where can you get one valued as theirs an old Wolseley at work that has been their for 2 years and not been touched, the guy is a friend of the owners and he came in today and we got talking and he said he wants 300 for it and that the number plate is worth abit, its a special edition and they only made 25

the car needs to have an MOT before you transfer the plate.

depends how much work it would take to get it back on the road.

what is the plate. ageless plates e.g. ABC 123 are worth much more than age specific plates, e.g. ABC 123A

i would only want to buy it to sell the plate then scrap it for more money, as the shell is rotton

I dont think it does need an MOT, i transfered plates off my saxo and it had no mot.

I just left the "MOT EXP DATE" space on the form blank.....

i wouldn't want to transfer it just flog it to some one or would i need their cars details
