Looking to go back to a EG civic hatch, had one for my 1st car [1.5 VTEC-E] loved it, until i wrote it off. Now im thinking of going back to one around xmas time, but this time i want the proper one, the VTi or maybe SiR [Import] if insurance allows.
B16a2 - 160bhp (vti) 170bhp (SiR) ive never driven one, raced a few in a Corsa GSi & my old civic and predictably, got eaten alive by them.
Anyone ever had one? what are they like? what too look out for? Good Points / Bad Points etc etc... the usual.

i got 1,,a ek saloon vti,,i cant fault it,,if your goin for a eg shape,,check the arches as they r prone 2 rust,imo the eg shape rots more then the ek shape,if u could wud find a ek shape 1,the engines are strong drinks oil abit in vtec tho so check the oil regualar,but nothing major,,also check 4 crunches in gears as the vti boxes r the weak link,boring 2 drive below 5.5k(torqueless engine) then hell breaks loose n the noise is sumit else in vtec til 8.7k,they work well with breathing mods,4-2-1,decat,system,filter(for the noise) if you wanna no n e thing else m8 just pm me n i tell you more ok

My mate owns and EK shape hatchback, and i've been after the EG shape for a while, insurance to high for me though.  Cheaper than a Corsa GSi though.  Rust at the rear arches, and gearbox, and de-restrict the air box, as they have two of them, so the VTEC doesn't scare the old dears.
