Evening All

Bought an Astra GSI (Arden Blue mark 4) but came with an aftermarket cd player.

Anyone know the model code of the original one (looking to return to standard) and what make it would be?

Not sure if it would be a blankpunkt or not?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Grundig CAR300 off the top of my head, but they sound horrid to be quite honest. My mate has an Astra G so I'll ask if he remembers what his was.

Why do you want the original one? Stick with aftermarket, or at least change it to a more factory looking one if thats whats bothering you.

Yeah, the standard ones sound absolutely horrid, Pioneer make nice ones that are black and kind of look a bit standard, but without orange LED's. Mine has a black screen with white writing

I bougt a top of the range sony cd player for my Mk4 Gsi and it sounded rubbish

the standard headunit is realy good quality, I've since pit it back in

My CDR500 in my G doesnt sound horrid? Infact its got pretty good bass on it and goes loud without distortion. Shame it lacks MP3-CD and shuffle technology though
