Theres 17 year olds who live by me who drive evo 8's and scoobs.
What they do as far as I know is take out a policy where they can drive any car third party, so take out cover on an old banger and then drive their evo that daddy bought them third party.
U need to be over 25 to drive another car when your fully comp on your own policy.
not with quinn direct i had it last year at 18 TPFT could drive anyother car aslong as it wasnt a company car etc TP only
Is quinn direct still pulling this stunt.Id bet if u were to read the small print it would say otherwise.
im with Bell insurance and i paid 30 quid extra to get the third party to drive any car that doesnt belong to me

The quinn direct policy clearly states that you have to have 'you currently hold a full European Union (EU) licence;'
Unless a UK one equates to this every single one of you 17 year olds that think you are covered aren't

well im getting around 60grand from this house when it sells, i am then wanting to buy a 2 bed house/ apartment but thats 100k plus. so around a 40k mortgage i will take out.... then rent the 2nd room to pay for the mortgage and pay for all the other bills etc... but for this im guna need a job for 3 months, ive just quit my job i was in for 2 years while at college... now i have nout to do. but want something that isnt a job where you learn or do fark all.... want something which i feel i can achieve something! but this will be for around a year then im wanting to join the forces once im fit. then save atleast half till mortgage is paid. and save alot towards the car.... well thats my plan.lol

When I passed and changed my insurance over to having a full license they told me over the phone I can drive any car third party aslong as its insured and owned by someone else.
I have also got it on my policy document saying I can.

I thought a UK driving licence was an EU driving licence? Mine's got the EU symbol and seems to say in several languages 'permit to drive in European Community'.

Guessing it must be the postcode sherlock stavs? I've got a few friends in Hemel/area and they're insurance isn't too great either imo.

Ahh I see! I was kinda just assuming they were around my age tbh* Ooops! But to be fair the hemel people I know that have turbo cars similar category to mine and no points or anything are paying nearly twice as much as me. Hmm.

Thought about adding a named driver with lots of years driving experience to the policy quote? I used to add my Dad when I was younger- when I had my C20XE conversion in my old corsa by adding him to the policy as a named driver (and me the policy holder) and he reduced it by about £350 believe it or not! Worth a try anyway Dr.Bean
