everyone seems to rave about this stuff and I think its shite

what stage in the wash do you use it?

After i've washed it, always worked fine for me although does occasionally require some elbow grease.

I think its crap too.

I would use it after washing but before claying and/or polishing.

depends how warm it is outside as it evaporates quite quickly. usually leave it on for at least a minute then wash off with shampoo and a wash mitt.

when using it on tar just leave it till the tar starts melting then wipe off.

Claying will also get the more stubborn bug marks off...

I use AG stuff through a spray bottle works better imo

What polish do people use after claying a car? ive got some mer polish and nanotec which both work really well but dont know if they are suitable for using after claying to seal the paintwork

A polish will not seal paintwork, you can buy certain products with protection in mind.

And as for ag bug and tar remover, I usualy leave it to soak for a minute and then wipe off, usualy coems straight off, or use a clay bar on it

A wax is used to protect the paint from day to day abuse and is usualy used after polishing to keep the paint nice and shiny, go over to
