just going through my file of reciepts for the old corsa looks like id spent a crap load more on it that i originally thought

easily spent about 2k on repairs and servicing bits etc then theres the parts i bought extra thats another 2k'ish then there was insurance on top 1k a year roughly had it 3 years so thats 3k

in total roughly about 8.5k on a 1.2 corsa (paid 1300 for the car)

looking back though i dont regret it at all as i loved it, just lacked all kinds of power.

i know theres alot of people on here that have spent a million times more than me on their cars, but just makes you think how much money you 'waste' (parents talk) on cars

All cars are a waste of money!!

I was talking to an older guy at my work, he used to work for Aston Martin yonks ago as an engineer & I was asking if he'd owned one himself, he said a straight no id never buy an expensive car, instead he buys stuff like old pug 406's with 200k on the clock for £300 & burries them into the ground, recons hes saved so much by doing that its paid for his second house point taken.

Yep its a waste of cash but it makes me happy so fuckit.
