Been fishing the internet as you do,
came across the turbo kit for the 1.6 engines, from regal
but as far as i no there are not any 1.6 turbos around?
jw if there actually was.
and what kind of power they put out

think there is a few, theres a turbo nova on here which was selling the engine a little while ago, 8 valve though. don't think i've seen a x16xe turbo before
one on ebay at the min but thinks he's livin in the clouds if he thinks its got 185bhp

erm actually has got a fairly impressive spec on the engine so may well have a high bhp figure

Not worth the money for the kits. Much cheaper to build one yourself, not hard either. A lad on PNG has built a 1.6 turbo engine. Cost about £500 i think.

P.S Mines is 150bhp. Much more to be had from bigger turbo, cam and management though.

Not looking to realy do it now tbh,
just researching
think it would be a pritty kool idea in the future,
as even tho C20XE engines are good,
i wont some thing different.

is it an easy job to turbo the 1.6, am looking into getting a 1.6 transplant and prepping it for turbo ut i wana do cams and all that lot? any suggestions???

1.6 turbos are pretty common on the 8v but not seen many on the 16v freidn used have a 1.6 8v turbo in his nova and managed a 14.2 qtr and that was home built no fancy bits either just turbo bolted to a nova 1.6 8v engine on standard mangement
