want to transfer my private plate, when i did it before i could do it on the day at dvla local office, buying a car and the dealer says you have to send it off now? looked online and it says the way i have done it before

They change it all the time, last time I done it a couple of months ago it took a week and had to send it away.

You can still do it at your local dvla office
