Expenses on our Astra.
4x new front tyres.
2x service (1 year or 20,000 miles!!!!!!!!)
Petrol (average 27mpg)
32,000 miles odd so far.
Astra will be immensly more reliable, no ratttles, no creaks, depends what your after really as said many times, totally different cars.
Evo - Scooby - Cossie
VXR - ST - TypeR - Leon Cup
I certainly wouldn't say VXR's are everywhere though. Focus ST's, they are everywhere, I hardly see any VXR's on the road really though.
But then i see far less Es Cossies,
But then i see far less working R5GTT's so its potato potarrrrrto

lol at people saying the astra is reliable
Errr, the Astra VXR IS reliable........
Not had one single issue with ours at all. I know MANY people that will say exactly the same.
EVERY car will have a few bad uns.
I know if I had £15k, I wouldn't be spending it on an old ford, but then again, I wouldn't buy a VXR either.
I'd do something more interesting with the money
id imagine superlite is speaking from working for vauxhall
same as when i say some vag's are unrealible, but then people say "but you only see the broken ones" to which i have to say, no, we see some that come in for a service, and are well and truly fucked
but thats speaking from a vag perspective

This is true, but then someone who worked for Ford during the cossie days will probably say the same about them.
