Does anyone have one on theirs if so, what do you have?

If not, can you recommend one?

Late ones - 9.4kg (pot)
Early ones - 7.7kg (flat)

I've got an ally replacement one on mine, iirc 5kg - makes a HUGE difference.

I though that Warren g did the flywheels for the F13 and F15 gearbox.

Willay, i didn't think it was a good idea to lighten a flywheel. I thought they exploded???

You can lighten them, to a point. if you go past 'this point' or the flywheel isn't balanced then it can explode/shatter/snap bolts... fly through your car like a rip-saw

That looks bad. I think i'll not tell him about them. If he doesn't know about it, he'll not try and do it himself.

Cheers Mr B

Less weight to turn thus resulting in quicker throttle responce and proabably better acceleration.
Dont want to go to light tho or youll struggle to get up hills.

Ive got a late spec XE with the pot type.Just won a flat type from ebay so i'll get that fitted up in the next few weeks.

Yes, standard cast rubbish that has probably been on a centre lathe and has less strength (and heavier) than a custom lightweight steel one with ring-gear as supplied by the above mentioned guy.

pointless unless its balanced with the bottom end assembly impo. if it is allbalanced though it will transform the way your car accelerates/revs.
ps dont buy one from autovaux as there machining tolerances are utter shit!
pps i cant be done for liable because that is totally true through personal experience.
