hey i know a few people on here are bikers and was wondering if anyone coud recommend me a decent bike, i want to spend £200, and i would prefer it to have the slimmer mountain bike tyres on, not the chunky ones or the tiny road ones, as im not going to be jumping off things with it!
front suspension would be good, but im not fussed with that either tbh,
i have seen a carrera in Halfords for £200, has anyone got one? are they decent?
i plan to go to work on it a couple of day a week, so want it to be pretty good, for the money of course!
any help would be appreciated
also, im 6'4" and according to halfords i should have a bike frame of 21" and above, but none of the decent bikes are available in that size, surely a 20" would be ok?

I had a Carrera and it was ok, but was full suspension and the rear sus was poor and very bouncy, and I paid around £600 for that. Id just go for none Suspension myself if it was for just day to day road riding, also them road tyres are boss for getting speed up

Dont buy a bike from halfords is the main rule when buying a bike!
We get soooo many in that are broke after a few months, they just dont last at all.
Spend a little bit more and get a marin or something, you wont be dissapointed!

Hardrock Sport without a doubt, or a Giant equivalent. Save up an extra £50, you'll be surprised at the difference in bike you'll get.
Avoid Halfords imho.
And most independent bike shops, will 'part exchange' tyres for you, at no extra cost. At least that is what we did
