What do oil catch tanks do?

And don't say 'catch oil' - what is its purpose? What does it improve etc?

Only noticed that after I'd posted but It's the only pic I've got;

Small breather 'filter' comes from the little breather on the xe camcover
the 'catch tank' is the lucozade bottle which comes from the larger of the 2 breathers on the camcover

no....

the tank and filter and different pipes... both pipes are fed by independant vents off the Cam Cover.

The breather will dribble as soon as the tank get anything in it.

you arent getting me

The TANK and FILTER are seperate... they come from UNIQUE outlets on the cam cover.

IF the TANK starts to fill, there will be oil coming out both breathers i'd think.... so oil will then come out the BREATHER FILTER.

I think you're over-estimating how much oil comes from my breathers tbh mate lol

I have seen a few dribbles from the filter, but it's not coming out like a dripping tap or anything!

I'll move the little breather pipe into the side of the lucozade bottle this weekend and then all will be good

block the small breather at the cam cover.

Run a hose from the large breather on the cam cover to a T at the tank, with the filter on one end of the T, and the tank and the bottom of the T.
