I do think thats right yes, I paid £1800 for my first year, FC on a 1.2 16v GLS AC, then with 1 years NCB £1300 on a TDi Ibiza Sport. Then after crash, one year on again with one year NCB I pay £1071 for another Ibiza TDi sport.

I was paying £1069 TPFT on a 1.2 corsa at 19, now 22 im paying £680 FC 10 month bonus accelerator with 3 years no claims with no points. So i think you being charged that much is fair especially as you have 3 points (thats where they rape your bank account)
As soon as you get 3 points at a young age most insurance companies will add about £300 - £400 ontop of what they would normally charge you.

Phone up the insurance and ask, how would we know how much it'll cost you?

I paid £1200 when I was 18 with Direct Line. 1 year NCB, but higher group car. That's on my own, but with no points at the time.
Try a higher excess, turning off some of the extras etc.

There are about a million variables.
It may be your postcode.
Mate of mine, same age, driving experience etc etc was getting quotes sometimes double what I was.
Both of us thought his postcode would have been better than mine but when we swapped them about thats what was causing the problem.

its dependant on Post code / Security/ Car... All of your mates dont have the same details.
You obviously dont know how to play the Insurance "game" so just pay up. Your lucky people havent kicked off about the legalitys of you using your dad for cheap insurance

I don't care about people using their parents tbh.
They'll either be lucky and get away with it and pay later on or they'll crash, lose the no claims, make both them and their dad put down they've had a claim for the next 3 years then have to pay more at the end anyway.

Same, and it's the cheapest quote I got. It's just the way it goes with points/no NCB.
If you want to find out how much it will be, then ring them or try their site for a quote with the extra no claims etc added on. We aren't all insurance guru's and as said, there are millions of variables.
