so ive just had a call from my dad..

hes had a van in as scrap and in the back is an engine and triptronic gearbox from an mx5 (i imagine its an early one)

now hes says they're really clean and must be reconditioned units

anyone know what they're worth?

Find out if it's a new one or old one.

I didn't know mazda did a tiptronic box, they definitely didn't in the early cars so if it's tiptronic, it's probably a later engine (which would explain it being clean)

Get a picture and I'll tell you if it's old or new.

got my dad to take some pics.. its not a mazda engine at all.. its a bmw engine.. he reckons the guy must have said x5 and not mx5..

one looks like and engine one looks like a gear box thing and the other looks like a stamp with info on it.

by the looks of it its out of an x5 or something similar, as it looks like the gearbox has differential or summit for 4 wheel drive
