had a bit of a long weekend
saturday involved cleaning the car nice and early then setting of to telford to meet LukeD which is a nice hour and half drive across the most boring motorways EVER!
saturday night was criuse night with the midlands cruises folk which wasn't that good really seeing as though it was another hours drive from flipping telford. this inlcuded being left at the meeting point and not being told the time had been changed
only a few noteable cars there, my camera doesnt really like night time photo's

so that was that and we finaly got back on to familiar territory at about half 11
sunday :
up at goodness konws what hour so luke can polish his metal (OCD kinda style) in perperation for mfn
finaly get everything cleaned polished up then the good ole familiar sight

LOW LOW LOW !
god i love having a 1.0 runs on AIR !
heres when the fun started, post code in satnav and all is going well then we come off the motorway a bit early ?? ended up in the middle of nottingham town centre which has some of the WORST roads ever including a speed bumps in the middle of a main road (well done to nottingham council:thumbs we held up sooo much traffic it was beyond kool i think
eventualy got to the ikea near mfn where i happened to loose my phone

finaly arrived at mfn after a bit of too and fro'ing on the roads seeing as though no-one knew where the hell they were going

alos managed to leave my mark whilst there aswell

note the big gouge roughly in the middle going diagonaly ? my sump made that
made my way home, went through all the hills and stuff, hade a few scary moments, mainly just potholes jumping out of no were

500 miles - nearly a tank of fuel - 13hours sleep - a multi pack of buscuits - and some apple juice

The speed bump in nottingham at the junction? If so it used to be a rounabout with subways and a shop in the middle until they decided subways were too unsafe so filled it in and a but to much too me thinks

nope from manc its probs easier to get over to the m1 and straight down..
i went down from Hyde when i went last week.. went across the peak district and down the m1.. but as i set off to come back my sat nav died (thank you vauXhall for your povo models) and had to sort of go across to derby/rugby and up the a50 through uttoxeter, up to stoke and back up through my neck of the woods.. took forever!!
