Where is the best place to buy a van? I was thinking eBay, any other places?
The budget is £1500 and under.
Also, its a small sized van i am after, this kind of thing:

The cheaper the better obviously, it just needs to be able to look clean and presentable, and be reliable, don't really want an old escort rust bucket van.
The mk4 astra is a great idea, just need to find a cheap one!

I had a Kangoo for about 2 years that got used for everything and anything, it had 110k on the clock and paid £1000 for it sold it to my uncle with 160k on it for £650 and its still going strong now.

Do car firms give their vans stronger internals or something? Cos it seems every man and his dog gets a van and rags the fuck out of it and all they do is fix it when something goes wrong, which is never anything big???

If you find a decent escort van bodywork wise they are so so so reliable. I had a couple and drove them as hard as they ever could be driven and they never let me down. Parts are cheap and they are ripe for modifying.

yeah, try auctions namely BCA. They will receive vans from huge companies. Try to get one that has done motorway journeys instead of stop start journeys

How does insurance work for vans though? Im sure it costs more, and it has to be taken out on a specific van policy?

Most of the time yes. Unless it's a car based van i.e. Fiesta, Corsa, Punto etc.
