I have just realised I can claim back tax, I have been working since i was 15 doing loads of different jobs, but never earnt lots as it was all part time, and I have been a student the whole time.

I have looked and I can claim back tax upto 6 years ago, but dont realy know how to do it, I will go in and see them to sort it out, but do any of you know what I will need to say or have with me?

Am i able to claim back tax, as i am a student and dont think i have earned over £5k a year, wich i think is the threshold?!

Any help / advice mucho appreciated, if i can claim more than £112.50, i think i will become a premium member, as i have been on here quite a while now!

I was owed tax for the 07-08 year due to paying tax yet earning under the threshold. All I did was send my P60's and a covering letter, to my local HMRC.

You can phone them up and give them your NI number etc and they can investigate, ask them what to do etc if you don't have P60's.

There are forms you can fill in which then detail all your employment history and how much you earnt. Basically like filling in your own P45.

As Deano said ring them up and they'll send you what you need to fill in.
