2 stroke engine's are more efficent than 4 stroke engines ...
Hence originally all the 500cc 2 stroke engines in motor racing used to beat all the 4 stroke engines.
These days all the special electronic ignitions, fuel injection etc has made the 4 strokes quick.
The fact that a 125cc Aprilia RS 2 stroke engine can make 34 bhp yet a 1000cc 4 stroke corsa engine only makes 55 bhp says it all.

2 strokes are not more efficient, they make more power than 4 strokes for the size of engine and use tons more fuel.

I don't mean efficent in mpg, I just mean efficent in the way the engine cycles...
a 2 stroke engine will fire twice as many times as a 4 stroke engine in the same amount of time.

WTF is that about Thats rubbish
My 650 is a 4 stoke, has 80bhp, nearly as much as a 1400cc 8v corsa.... Both 4 stokes. However, i'll loose by about 50lb ft on the torque front.
Now check the torque on the hairdryer and now on the 1.0 Corsa.
Completly different types of engines, might as well compare a diesel vs petrol. Drivetrain losses, engine power delivery etc.... Spec a 1.0 to rev up to 130000rpm and the peak power will be much much higher.
2 stokes have a tiny powerband, and the 500cc twins had reached the height of their technology a good 3 years before the rules changed to 4 stokes.
