My mate currently passed his bike test and had an old CBR 400 for a few months, now his mortage is paid off its time for a new bike!

We went to a showroom in chester-le-street, looked at a few bikes, and seen a gsxR 600 with 7k on the clock for £3k, so he asked the owner if he tooks cars in trade, he did, so my mate traded his car + £500 for this motorbike.

He went to his girlfriends earlier today and didnt realise his bike has a petrol light, (girlfriend lives 42 miles away) tried to get there and back on and empty tank, managed to get there and run out of petrol on his way home.

So me and my bro set off on a 40 mile journey to somewhere in the 'sticks' as my bro said, we went to the garage (11pm) to fuel up, and get the jerry can filled, my bros just had his new exhaust system fitted so thought he'd give it a good old ragging lol, we got caught by all the midnight road works near the metro centre!

Finally Got to my mate and give him the fuel, we followed him to the motor way and all the way home he was teasing us! =[

At one point we were doing 120+mph and he was in 4th just trotting along next to us, so i stuck my phone out the window and decided to record a video of his acelleration (sorry bad spelling) he dropped it down 2 gears into 2nd and was doin 120mph in second and left us in his dust lol, got the video to be uploaded tomorrow, but got a pic further down the motor way.

this is going about 120 at 1am in the morning clear roads, for about 12 miles.

Got home and my mate is currently getting his garage redone (collapsed roof) so my mate asked if he could leave his bike at mine over night, i was thinking hmmm, and he said before u even ask NOO! i was like damn! put some tarpolin over cause this weather is 5h1t lol.

took a snap in my back yard of it.

will be getting better pics of it in the light tomorrow probs.

ive got one of it in the light the other day.

my mate had a look over the receipts and found out it had custom racing brakes put on which cost £500, carbon fibre mud guard etc ... with all mods adding up to £4k + which is more than the bike got sold for.

All in All ive had a good night! and now i really want a gsxR, if not a hyabusa! =]

anyone here like bikes or own any?

do tell

Sorry this thread is long and pretty pointless =]

I had a srad 600 which I swapped for a vts

There nice bikes.
Only problem I have with the gsxr is that they all look alike apart from the new ones, still look like an srad to me

tell him to get an Aprovak race system. The "not for road use" can be 'errr cough' polished out.......

Im not an IL4 noise lover at all, but feck me it sounds simply stunning on the K4 model. A full WSB 1000cc exhaust note on a diddy 600.

In fact, this exact one, took this a few weeks ago in France

K4's in Yellow and Black are the best Gixxers.

Ninja's are the way forwards

Im not a fan of the older GSXR's at all. Just not my thing.

But the K4, the shape looks good, hasn't got that stupid ass seat unit, the lines flow quite well.

Yep, rode an SRAD not long ago and it was awful to sit on/ride. It's just so wide.
