Grrr... just been looking for a small project, and people still seem to think that their 1.0 12v Sting/Club is worth 2k with 60/70k+ on them

Rant over.

Especially with the wheezy 1.0, would be good for girls and they basically choose based on looks, like my sister with the Cinquecento that has no brakes

The price of a car isn't based on how big the engine is

if anything, the bigger the engine, the less it's worth, kinda.

for an engine swap?

just get a 1.4 sport or something, will get more for your money as all 'my first car' types will be put off

Thats ridiculous price.
I paid £1200 for my 12v 3 years ago with under 50k on the clock.

My mrs has a 99 Flame Red (Actually Red not Pink)
Shes 2nd owner, first was an old chap, all MOTs and good history, 39k on clock.

I wouldnt let her part with it for any less than £1700 tbh, its a 1.2 though.

IMO the 1.2's are worth a little more, but not a silly amount more.
