Been looking this weekend at brand new Corsa Ds - VXR and SRi with 1.6 turbo engines. Really like them both, but can't help feel I'll regret it immensely when the time comes to sell them again.

Second hand would be a far better idea then, basically I'm after something with:
Decent real-world acceleration, preferably turbo but not worried petrol or diesel
Around 25-35mpg when being sensible if petrol though.
Fairly new - no older than about 3 to 4 years
Decent handling as standard
Not french

Between about £8-10k. Suggestions wanted please

If you could stretch the budget to 11k you could get a VXR with under 10k on the clock, and you'll be avoiding the massive hit in depreciation

Cracking idea on the Cerbera

Think thats gonna cost too much to run

Cupra R is a good call, but a bit older and more mileage than I was hoping for. Definately one to look into though

I bought my R on an 04 plate with 31k miles for just under the £10k mark

Theres a 54 plate one for sale at my local honda garage with 10kmiles for £11k which is a bit of a bargin
