I feel cheated, I thought you were gonna say that you fell over on the steep slope you were running down, rolling into the road and being hit by a hundred and one cars at rush hour before making a miracle recovery within the hour and being home intime, unmarked, and in time for DINNER with the fiancee and all the time your mate had it.

So to summarise:
You left ring at KFC, someone handed it in, you collected it

If there's one lesson to learn it's not to eat at KFC as it's bad for your health.
