They actually take the piss.
I ordered something yesterday which qualified for free delivery, so thought yeah, why not. Go into my account and check it. Despatch estimate '23rd to 24th July' with a delivery estimate as late as 1st August.
They never used to be that bad. F-ing ridiculous if you ask me.

Cant beleive they advertise it as a "service"
I cant work out how it benefits them to make you wait. Unless they earn intrest off your money

I only ever used the super saver on Amazon once and it only took 3 days for them to deliver, guess I must just have got lucky

I always use super saver and have never had any issues. I would expect for it to take longer but are you sure the item is in stock anyway?. Even if you had paid for next day/2 day delivery?. Often I've had items say 2 week wait etc.. but they have come sooner.

That is what it used to be like, back in the day. But no everyone uses it, they seem to take forever.
It's definitely in stock, not even a warning of 'Only 5 left' etc.
I wish they provided a pick up service, the Amazon depot is about 30 minute drive from me

i've ordered ipod headphones from them using super saver which came next day.
i then bought something else small and it took about a week to get to me, again using super saver.
they must just sent it 5th class or something.

Hasn't their depot recently moved to Swansea?
One of the guys in work ordered something from them. His order said it was sent from the Swansea depot (which is about 5 miles from where he lives!), to a depot in Newcastle for sorting, before being delivered to him

My aunt recently got a tv bracket from amazon advertised as having free next day delivery, a week later and -£5 delivery fee she phones them and they said "yeah thats an old offer we meant to take down". Load of bollocks if you ask me.
