Just thought I would post a couple of pics of the new motor, only got my phone pics to use. Uncle came to visit today so thought I would get a couple of mugshots of his new motor too









Obvviously Ive not driven the Merc but its a sublime ride and the engine is almost silent (compared to my 2.0TD) as well as powerful. Amazing interior too hehe

edit - mods for the Astra include an Irmscher grille, maybe a headlight upgrade to Xenon bulbs, alloys remaining the same and it will not be being lowered

Its quite a big car, trying to turn it round down my terrace road was a bit of a laugh, took him a little while. Its definetly got some presence on the road, especialy while he was tailgating me through the middle of Lincoln Looks mean as fuck in the rear mirror

I think its a fairly basic spec as it doesnt actually have satnav built in etc which seems to come standard on many executive cars these days so im guessing on a higher spec the wheels might fill the arches a bit better

Someone that lives by me has a white one, with what looks like a glass roof, as well as what I think is an AMG kit. Looks fantastic

I know what you mean, I think there is an actual AMG one in Lincoln, I see it parked up but never driven, which is a shame, waste of the 6l V8 (??)

Probably, as it is, where he lives its the nicest car in the neighbourhood. Hes bought it for comfort and the size inside for transporting people about.

The make or break as to whether its bland or not with those Mercs is whether its a Sport or Elegance model.

The Sport looks great, the Elegance is an old mans car....
