There are some Irmy Softstars on eBay for £30 +p&p, but they're in black but I want them the normal silver colour. Would they need to be refurbed to get back to normal or is there an easier way of taking the paint off?
They're here if anyone wants a look.
The only other two sets on there are either kerbed or 16" polished ones

No it won't. We used stuff far stronger than that on Aeronautical shells, which are constructed from pretty thin gauge alloy. The stuff we used you had to apply in full on plastic suits, air masks the lot.

I'd have a go with a pressure washer/steam cleaner first, if its a shit paint job it will come right off.

they are 14 inch, they look sh*t compared with 16 inch ones, wont give the same look at all, best way is to sandblast in answer to your question ; )

Cheers for all the replies, sounds like sandblasting would do it unless they've been painted badly. Guessing they would need to be taken to a company to be sandblasted?
I know 16" would look better but these ones are what's available and 16's would probably cost more.
Not even sure if I'll be buying these yet or not, just trying to find out how to get them back to the original colour.
