Im off to the Grand Prix this weekend and its my 1st ever one. Just wondering what is the best time to turn up from other peoples experiances coming from the north. I dont want to get there too early and dont want to be sitting in traffic going nowhere for hours. I think gates open at half 5 or 6.

Get there early, as I only went to the test day last year on the Friday, week before France was, and I was stuck in traffic for an hour and a half, so I reckon the race day will be even busyier.

I'd get there as early as I possibly could, about 15 minutes after getting out of bed.

yeh ive used the back way in at trax, through silvertone village and you come in under the tunnel, or down a cow track i came one year to the same entrance.
But i would hav thought they would be closed off due to security at this event.

il leave mega early then and sleep in the car when i park up

last year i set off at 4:30am from the hotel, got in just after 6am

had to get a bus too though, as i had park and ride..

this year will probably set of at same time, but i got parking at the track

wasn't even sold out last year, this year it is, so will probably take even longer to get in
