how long before you can have points removed from your license??
how long before you dont have to declare them to the insurance company??

4-5 years before they come of your license i think

haha! its not urgent i was just wondering, ive had 3 points for 4 years now! and sum told me it was 4 years, sum1 3 and sumelse 5 lol

I think you can get em took off after 4 years but gotta tell insurance for 5

The points are valid towards 'disqualification under the totting up procedure' for 3 years.
Can be removed after 4.
And must be declared to insure for 5.

Because for some offences they stay on for 11 years.

Actually its not because it does depend on what you got the points for. As i think Adam says different points stay on your licence for different amounts of time!

if ypu have 3 points for a speeding offence then a year later a ban then after the ban you get your licence back staright away, do you still count that 1 year ban as a year for the points to come off or not,
hope that makes sence, it probably wont

i've never acctually understood this having to delcare for 5 year's to insurance, if they've been removed, as it's not like they are on your insurance and they are gonna see them on it..
seams strange really

thats y you get two licences one for points and one for other things ie rental car companys, your job if you need to drive company cars and if your insurance wants to see your licence allways show them the licences which has no points
this tips was given to me by an ex cop
i do not take responserbility if you get caught use in more than on licence

I know thats the case for SP30's, TS10's things like that, as i've got 2x SP30's and couple mates have had TS10's (Stupid red light camera nearby which is a bastard to judge when its gone amber)
