When a manifold is fitted does it change the note of the exhaust?

Also are there any gains for a drilled airbox, cat-back and 4-1 manifold?

manifold will make it raspier i think, and they give better top end iirc.

drilled airbox will give a deeper note but doubt it will improve performance by a noticably amount.
