I find them funny in my area, I got stuck behind one that went 40mph in a 30mph zone, but 20mph when we went into a 60mph. Really pissed me off as I got one overtaken chance and the bastard speed up, and then slowed down to 20mph again when I had to pull in behind him, I was right up his arse all the way to Potton.

The only accident i had was because of an old woman driving like a twat in a car park She was doing atleast 30 in a carpark and i was pulling out of a parking bay- i pulled out about a foot, saw her and stopped. She meanwhile carried on regardless and clipped the front end of my car . She got out started shouting at me saying i was speeding and she didn't believe me i was old enough to drive therefore, her logic was that i had no licence Felt like chining the bitch tbh

Old people are now my most hated thing, only for 1 reason...

If i'm driving through a 30 zone, i will be doing 30. It seems the old lady behind me doesnt understand this and sits about a foot behind.

When the 30 opens up into a NSL, i would like to be doing the NSL, if i am behind said oldy, they decide 40 is fast enough even if its completely clear...

Actually this doesnt just apply to oldies, but to mums in their jeeps and business men in their estates.

And its us they get the blame for being young and speeding...! Bullshit

^^ my mums like that (and only like 55)

Annoys the fuck out of me, she'll drive up behind people and sit on there asses and be like god these people must never drive on the motorway and she won't overtake them 'cos she's coming off at the next junction' (which is about a mile further down the motorway). She then sits at 40 coming off said junction up the dual carriage way

She also seems to have started slowing down when she's approaching traffic lights

My mom's an agressive driver, she's 47 and if she is stuck behind a women driver or oldy, she'll get pissed of with there slow speed, overtake them and be doing like 90 on a small country road in a little Fiesta, and people wonder why i'm a little bit aggresive behind the wheel.

Not sure I've ever seen those to mentioned together

Pretty much all the women drivers I have been in a car with refuse to do under 35 in a 30, most usually sit at 40-45, yet none of em that I know of have ever been pulled Just seems it's ok for them

Regarding old people, I had a bloke walk straight out same as Alex, slammed on, straight on the horn, bloke turned round and give me the V, good job it was in the middle of town with too many witnesses They would whinge if we didn't bother braking for em, I have been tempted on many occasions

Women with kids are the worst, followed by the elderly.

Retests should be mandatory every 10 years IMO - would take half the crap people off the road and force the rest to actually re-learn the rules.

For instance, was only a little while back my mum realised that NSL was 60mph on a single roads. It used to be 50mph and she didn't know it had changed

Too right. They drive me mad. They either: a) think the world owns them something because they're old. or b) think that anyone younger than 50 is bad for the country.

Just shout: "Come on gramps get out the fokin way!" Thats we shout out the work van.

I'm always getting stuck behind old people, espc when in a NSL zone and they're doing 40
What's even more annoying is the fact they always have a much more powerful car than me

True mate, most of the old people I meet at work are completely empty-headed, insanely smelly and annoyingly slow. Then you see them reverse out of a car parking space with the revs practically on the limiter and nudging it out on the clutch.

There are a few old people who come in the shop quite a bit that are really nice and we speak to them and they're good ol' boys (and girls ), but then somebody will come along and just completely ruin your day. One time I was filling up the freezers (part of my job) and this woman kept moaning about every single little thing and didn't like it when I could justify everything and had valid reasons for everything she was going on about.

On the road they're even worse, they have almost no reactions at all and drive so badly it's insane. You either get people that do 40 everywhere, go at least 10mph under the limit on roads you can't overtake on, or bomb it everywhere like maniacs. Plus you get old people going the WRONG WAY up the motorway, sometimes on their little granny scooter things. You don't see young people doing that, because they have brains in their heads! And we're the ones that pay stupid amounts for insurance... They're the ones causing ridiculous accidents everywhere they go.

That reminds me, one time in my dad's car we were behind some really old bloke in a mk3 Fiesta. Looked like a mint car, all shiny and not a scratch on it. Only thing is he had no concern for anything at all, so when there were people coming the other way and a van parked on the side of the road, he just carried on through without even slowing down, barely missing the people coming towards him.

Oh, and the worst driver I have ever seen in my life was a woman. She was completely oblivious to everything and shouldn't be on the road. She lives locally so I see her sometimes. Basically, coming back home from the local town there are two of those bits in the middle of the road for you turn off, one for when you come the other way, one for when you're going the way we were. For the first one she followed the lines on the OTHER SIDE, even though that meant crossing double solid lines, so she was driving through the turning off lane the wrong way, and then when we got to the other one she did the same thing, and it looked as if she was turning off, but she wasn't indicating so we kept back. Sure enough she followed the line and came back in to the normal lane. It's a good job we didn't speed up and came in line with her, because she would have gone straight into the side of us. Of course I'm not saying that all women are bad drivers, with everyone, young, old, men and women, you get people that are really good and drive spot on, but then you get nutters that shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Rant over

Exactly, I was coming down an NSL road earlier, got up to speed and met some slow people doing 40. There was a BMW 5-series estate behind me and that didn't catch up for ages, when I was doing 60 I saw them getting further and further behind. It wasn't until I had done between 30 and 40 (the persone two ahead was uselessly bad) for some time that they caught up with me. And I'm in a 12v so they could easily out accelerate me any day!
