So you have to be 18 to go to a pub but 21 to buy in a shop..makes sense
Another way of controlling people i guess

It does make sense imo.
Kids that are like 14 can look older and buy alcohol, but to look 21 is quite difficult.
And bars / pubs are stricter than shops....
Good idea in stopping drinking underage in the street imo

Off-licence age could rise to 21
Doubt it will happen though.

I think its a good idea.
I hate seeing just turned 18 year olds buying shitloads of alcohol thinking they're all that.

and you aint been to pubs/clubs in swanse i know a 13 yr old girl who goes to town its like a kiddy youth club thats why i hardly go out

I don't think it's a good idea at all, neither would any of the people who are saying it is if they were still under 21.
Back to the old you can get married, have a kid, go to war at 16 but can't have a wee drink.
I've been drinking since 14 or 15 and it hasn't had any detrimental effect on me.
It pisses me off greatly going into asda with 3 or 4 people all 23 or 24 and them iding every single one of us though, that's all this would promote.

All the shops round here have this new "if you look under 25 policy". I'm 24, haven't been ID'd in years and I got refused in Morrissons because I didn't have ID. To say I wasn't happy was an understatement.

wont happen, they'll loose too much in tax, a huge portion of it comes from 18-21 year olds
