A nice orange(lol) say 06 plate ST for about 14K then about 4K modding it will still only be 18K so if the RS is going to be 26K then i've saved 8K??
I'll try and live without the diff
£4k wouldn't get you the decent suspension, brakes, turbo, intercooler, seats, wide arches, lower compression pistons etc though
In fact, I think you'd actually struggle to get genuine 300bhp from a 225 with 4k unless you were fitting the bits yourself.

I don't.
My dad has a focus rs. its been de-catted and its meant to be about 247 bhp, and in my opinion, its the most impressive fwd hot hatch i've ever been in.
I expect big things from the new rs.

So, that's my point proven then, decatted makes it a non standard car.
Next?

If they do this then IMO there's no point in making a new RS. The whole point of the RS is that it's special and to a certain extent dare I say "prestige" over the other Ford models ie st etc etc. The whole point of the MK1 FRS is that it was limited edition and there was no optional extras therefore no stupis 1, 2, 3 crap going on. I think I'll be very dissapointed if this is the case cos then it will be a beefier st with an rs badge

I doubt very much it will actually be that colour tbh. The RS marque has "classic" colours. Not like that gash orange, and certainly not the putrid lime pic people keep posting!

What's the DDC?! If you don't have an invite there's no chance in hell of you getting in even if you were free. Remind me nearer the time and I'll see about popping over or something

The diff in the RS is a quaiffe LSD. In the mk2 RS it's expected to be elctronically controlled apparently

Wow how cool would that be if the Mk2 FRS was rear wheel drive! *dreaming*
