i have been thinking that myself, as its got no bulbs behind, but want to make sure as im tinting and trying to make it legal

It depends on how "tinted" you want them to be. If it's going to be light tinted then i think it'd be ok. However if your going to go mad and it's going black, then i'd say yes to masking that bit off.

ok awsome thanks, i would like it too be black would suit, but i would end up being pulled or something so im only doing them slightly like how the MK3 golf rears look

Not bad lol, My mate just put a pair of black tights over his lol, and the reflectors still worked

oh and yeh the exhaust is just a tip trying to find good backbox

They do look pretty dark mate, but as long as the light is visible then ok

They don't put bulbs behind reflectors, because they reflect light and not emit it like brake lights etc

yeh the light is visible from all areas, it does look really dark from the pictures but if you look at them you can see the partitions etc, im pleased with outcome anyway, and cheers for comments
