My mate is selling his CL500 so i've offered to drive it somewhere nice and take some pics for him to remember it. When i got the key and started it up the range said 0 miles, 0.2 gal. As soon as i got it home it said 0.0 gal. So i've put £10 in and it said 40 miles. Now i'm back home (driven 1 mile) it says 33 miles left. I think i know why he's selling it

Fiesta ST's are the same tbh - put a tenner in when it said 0 miles left, went to 60 miles, two miles down the road it said 51 miles left.

Miles To Empty/Range indicators assume that the current driving style will be continued...
For example, my car will do roughly 440 miles form a full tank the way I drive during the week and if I fill up on the way home after a steady drive back the MTE will show as about 425 upon filling (then rise to 440 effectvioely through driving style)... if I hamme rit down to the petrol station it'll susually show as 375 as it assumes I will drive like that the whole way
:/

mines shit aswell, i have a 6 miles commute to work which is 12 miles a day.
stupid thing takes off at least 20 miles worth of petrol for every 12 miles even when i'm driving like a granny
i've started using the mileage counter to compare as this is more accurate.
