As many of you probably know, at least the members of the site that I am better aquainted... My dad owns a lotus elise which he purchased about 8 months ago. Anyway my brother was telling my dad about a dvd available entitled 'The elise story', or something like that anyway, which follows the story of the production of the elise from the design stages to the first production car. Long story cut short... the end of the dvd documents the sale of the first ever elise off the production line which is sold at bel & colville and to our surprise only turns out to be my dad elise! It wasnt originally a super 140 when sold originally so now my dad is left with a choice of either further modifying the car, selling it on as it is or returning it to original condition and selling it in hope of a little further value considering it history as the first lotus elise off the line?? There is a post on SELOC but not many people are seeing the interest in the car being an original - off the line car. I feel some of the comments dont reflect what could be a great find though considering on rallye register when the owner of rallye no.1 came along he ended up selling the car for a further 2k plus based on this fact along. What are your thoughts on this? Any comments are greatly appreciated. If you want to see the video its on google video, entitled the elise story.

Freaky-deaky! Best off discussing with SeLoc or BoLoc or maybe in the Lotus forum on PH

My dad already has asked SELOC. They dont see the appeal, fact is though it doesnt matter what they think because there will always be a small minority who have interest in that sort of thing.
