Basically a little confused about how it works,
i went past a police officer today with a speed camera out and obviously checking my speed. if i had of been speeding would they pull you over there and then?
as i dont think they can send you the points through the post like permanent cameras do?

any help would be good! thanks.

well they can't exactly point you over there and then if yourdoing 80mph or whatever.

they usually have a police car waiting up the road who will go after you and pull you over.

good good, was gettin a bit worried cause wen i saw it i slowed down to 30 but before that was doing bout 35-38.

got pulled by one of these the other day, was doing 34 in a 30, said im lucky that theyv ran out of tickets,

And they are legally able to hide in horse boxes and transits etc. Only the traffic cops have to be in the spectrums or mobiles.

yeah had a good old look... erm well it had a sort of tripod below it so it wasent hand held and there was only 1 cop car there and both of them were out of the car. 1 looking in to the gun thing and the other standing next to her.

If you had been speeding he would have killed you there and then, then your family, then your friends, then anyone who'd ever met you or done business with you. Oh and he'd have burnt your car and driver's licence at the roadside.

depends on the equipment they were using they can using a tagging system where your details are recorded to the device (picture and speed) notices of intended prosecution must be issued within 14 days
