Right, I do a 20k a year including commuting. (50 mile commute daily)
Either:
1) Keep Vento TDI for commuting and buy Clio 182 (£6K, 04 reg £1200 a year insurance) Will have to tax 2 cars and insure both +running costs. Vento runs on VEggie oil at 59p a litre
2)Citroen C2 1.4 HDI Furio (£4.5K, 05 reg with only 34k on clock, cheap tax)
3) Golf GT TDI 150 (£5-6K, 52 reg with 92k on clock)
Any other suggestions?

Insurance would be £1200 (clio) + £600 (vento)

Can you not insure the Clio with 3rd party anything, so you can drive the Vento

Believe the 3rd party anything rule only works if the car is insured by someone. Unless its motor trade isnruance.

I'd get the Citroen out of the three mate, running a petrol and a diesel car in this economy is going to hit you hard.
Unless you want to px with Colin

I'm biased, but the 1.4 HDI is a wicked car, i have the petrol but learn't in the diesel.
Was an ace car, shifted enough and its not gutless at all, handles motorway and you'll see really good economy
Get a blue one
