Look at your insurance docs first. Might have a 'Glass claims' number. Doesn't affect your NCB and they will sort out someone to come to you etc

Windscreens are usually covered under the glass area of your insurance. £50 and jobs done

Our Phil got his done through his insurance a while back, think it was Auto Glass who actually did it but it only cost £50.
I noticed a crack in mine the other day, it's on the inside tho right in the corner, not got a clue how it's happened

if you don't have glass cover on your insurance then phone around a lot before booking autoglass.
i was looking a while back. Autoglass £440 odd
Local company for same thing and service £105.
they advertise nationally so rely on people using them without getting quotes first. also they get a lot of insurance work, so can charge what they want for that.

My insurance certificate says farrrk all about glass, or about anything for that matter, Ive chucked all the books that came too, Ive only got the Cert,
Im sure I remember reading I had it and that the excess was £80
Im gonna go my local autoglass tomorrow, If I give them my insurance cert they must be able to tell weather I have it???

yeah they will. it'll say something on it like gc50 or gc80 iirc.
as a guide FC insurance normally includes it and TPFT or TPO usually doesn't

windscreen code: N
for none i assume as i have tpft cover
so will probably say:
windscreen code: 50 / windscreen code 80

Phone your insurer to ask. They're normally open until 8.
I used RAC to replace mine on the Corsa btw.
