I'm going to be spending about £500 quid on a new bike soon as i've not had one in a while and want to get back into it. the problem is i no longer have any room in my shed for it when its not in use. Will it be ok to leave it outside through all the shite weather we have? it'll be locked up and under a cover so i'm assuming it will be fine.

As long as it's under a decent cover, I don't see why not. I'd be more concerned about the security etc, especially as things will be quick release on it.

You can get a lot of insurance certified locks etc, but it might be worth checking with your contents insurance provider to see if it'll be covered.

its not my shed though mate so cant really demand that things are moved to make way for it. its either my bike or my fishing gear that goes outside and the bike is cheaper.

no room in the house either. its fookin shit when you've had to move back home and have to live by your parents rules. the main question is....will the shit weather fuck it up if its under cover? security is not really a problem.

not really, when your riding it things are moving so not letting water/dirt/grime in or build up in the bearings etc

also when you ride in shit weather you clean your bike straight away (normally) but if its sat outside for a week in terrantial rain/snow water will seep past everywhere

id buy another shed if you can or simply re-arrange the shed you have, amazing how much space you can find if you start from scratch

I keep my bmx in my bedroom

Wouldnt leave it in the garden,last time i left my bike locked up in the garden the wheels and handlebar grips went walkies
