Are they painful? I sometimes get them and it hurts when I breath in and out for a few minutes. I've not had it for a while now though. Quite worrying lol but it's never happened for more than a minute or so and it's been OK for quite a bit.
If they're just spasms with no great pain I wouldn't worry about them. I get spasms in my arms/legs/eyelids sometimes too lol.

i get them near enough every day. well not spasms like window licking style but just sharp bursts of pain, kind of like sticking a knife into my chest.
if it hurts that much, get to the doctors. it could just be too much exercise or sleeping awkwardly

Most likely cause is muscle spasm of some of the muscles across the chest.
Unless you note other problems at same time e.g. trouble getting a breath, or a bit of diziness/tingling anywhere. (or anyone in your family having history of heart probs)
If its regular and continues should see your own doctor just to make sure. Worth checking Blood pressure and a few bloods and stuff.

Generally after drinking alot of alcohol, many people will notice 'shakes'/spasms.
Science is debatable but current evidence suggests this is due to low blood sugar levels. (The alcohol causing the mechanism that balances your sugar to go a bit wonky)
Unusual to be isolated to just one muscle/area tho.

Acid/Stomach kind of things usually have a reasonably set pattern to them tho.
E.g. same times day/after alcohol at night.
Made better by food/milk etc. made worse by not eating, smoking and alcohol.

Most people have 'irregular' heart beat (palpitations) a few times in a year. The list of potential causes/contributing factors is virtually endless and in most cases nowt for to worry about.
But if occurring with frequency and discomfort its worth having it chased up.
