i know a few ppl with it, mostly f150's etc but they dont notice a change in performance whatsoever. You can sometimes get a grant from the goverment to get one fitted.

Govenrment did that for about 6 months some 10 years or so ago then as soon as they realised the tax they were losing they scrapped that idea!
On a low powered car 1600 or less you will notice the loss in power!
I would look for an original vauxhall dual fuel

Theoretically, you should be able to tune the car to make more power on LPG than Petrol as it has a higher octane rating.

LPG is something like 45p a litre so it's cheap as chips when you compare it to petrol.
I think it gets better mpg too, but don't quote me on that

Slightly worse mpg than petol & slightly lower bhp, however its something like half the price of petrol, tbh id rather buy an old derv & run it off cooking oil!!

thats what im doing atm although i would much rather switch to LPG if possible as its a pain in the ass pouring vegetable oil into my tank especially as i live on the main road with no lack of passing pedestrian walking past
although i had a quick look and unless its just me LPG cars such as astra's seem to demand quite a premium

my parents put their 1.8 '97 passat on LPG, as they were using it as a taxi.
Only drawback with it is the tank taking up a lot of space in the boot.
But they done that about 6 years ago, done best part of 100,000 miles in it since the conversion, no problems apart from the odd gasket going.
But mega cheap
