you will find alot of better places to stay in inerness than a travel lodge there is hundreds of nice hotels and pubs up there.

loch ness roads are awsome. you can drive right round it practically on the waters edge. nice bendy roads

If you are going to go from Inverness to Fort William, there's a good road from Newtonmore to Spean Bridge...

Its a bit longer, but I prefer it to the A82. Good views of the Nevis range as you come across.
