multi car policy - but i guess the probably wouldn't cover a modded car though...

can get a very limited milage policy, but i cant see it, dropping the price that much

u can get like daily cover insurance from various companies ranging from 7.50 to about 20 quid.

Quick google search of short term insurance or whatever should flag up plenty of companies and you could plan in advance when u wanted cover for. Ive done this with a few of my cars before.

edit: Ive only done this for standard spec cars. I don't know if they'd deal readily with modified cars...

You can get limited mileage insurance through most insurers if you ask them. Usually have to prove it before/after etc...
I have a low mileage policy on a Skyline with Adrian Flux.

cant get tax with daily insurance though...

also, you can only take it out so many times on the same car, if you read the policy details

Both of the above depend on insurer.

I used to use tempcover.com

I had no probs getting tax with their short term cover notes. And used to do day off day on kinda thing for months and months. Same car.

Any insurer will consider insuring any situation really. Effectively it's a bet you're placing that they are/are not willing to take.
