Dont even think about mounting a harness to a strut brace, it wont save your life

use the rear seat belt mount points

mounting harnesses on rear strut brace is leathal as in the event of a crash and the rear end twisting the rear shock assembly is joined by the brace, one side will give up due to the twisting of the rear, and your left with harnesses attached to a brace tha is now detached.

my harnesses were bolted into rear seat belt mount on the florr pan, and in my massive crash the harnesses kept me firmly fixed and saved my life.

trust me on this one

personally, i'd have them on the rear belt mounts on the floor

as it has been strenghend.. either than or on a fully welded in cage...

i would never use a crap botl in strut brace, as they are not that strong, and i'd never trust one to hold in an impact

Only thing is ive seen at a trackday where it almost killed someone as the reclining mount on his seat broke and pushed him into his seat because of the angle that the harnesses were on.

theres the problem, not the harnesses. if a proper bucket seat was fitted. that wouldnt of happened. i have some mounts fpr a weld in brace already made up, if you want them

Reclining bucket seats are as dangerous as having a harness round a strut brace.
