Mine didnt have any electrics on it, was a kick start. Very reliable engine, only the build quality was pretty poo

Watch out with them, if it has a cdi unit on it, they go wrong constantly. The slightest bit of water and it stops working altogether.

i had a race pipe, uprated carb etc, and with a mate on the back we hit 60mph (next to my mate in his car)

was realy nippy for what it was

My thumpstar used to have a battery just below the right hand rear panel...

Also, mine once ran like a bag of s**t,wouldn't rev hardly, coughed and spluttered. There was aload of water in the connecting pins for CDI... Cleaned out with WD40, then clipped it back together... I then put a balloon over it and siliconed and put a tie wrap on it.. Ran ok after this, no water can get to connections to short it...

mine is very much like this but mine is a 125cc and 4 stroke, sounds amazing!
