I know, i should search.

I did, it failed yet again, plus im in a rush.


What do i need to scrap a written off car? Obviously aint got the logbook..

you need to apply for a new log book cost £26 irc

I've got the log books for 2 written off cars.

Ask the insurance company for it back?

Well i sent it to my insurance company who sent it to they DVLA. Got a letter few weeks ago saying 'thank you for sending the logbook on'

Think the value of scraps ok at the moment (although im no expert) scrapped my girlfirends shitty 1.1 fiesta last week, bloke collected it and gave me £50 for it which i didnt think was to bad

Yea think he offered me £75 if i took it there, but the mot and tax had ran out and iv got loads of points so i wasnt going to risk it.

Scrap it and send letter to DVLA.

If you dont recieve a letter from the DVLA within a few weeks give them a ring.

Otheriwse when the sorn expires they'll slap an £80 fine on you.

local scrapy by me is 160quid on a tonne on a car and 140quid for scrap metal,so you have been ripped off

jus take your drivin liscence or some sort of id with you they should let you off with just that
