I passed my test in November 2004, but lost my license in June 2005. I re-sat my test after going over 6 points and having my license revoked under the young drivers act. I passd my re-test in April 2006.

I then was banned last year in July for 6 months and have now got my full UK license back with a TT99 conviction and no points.

Regardless of the common sense factor, can i sit next to a learner driver (who is displaying L plates and insured for the vehicle) as they drive?

Cheers, Stan.

no as you have been banned and started again. it would count from the second time you past your test after the 6points.

You sure about that?

I'll get my licence back in 2 months (after a 3 month ban) and i was not under the impression that i would have to wait 3 years to be able to sit next to a learner. After all, i still have 4 years driving experience.

Ah well...
I suppose that would be right. I'm going to have to apply for a new licence and it'll have a new start date on it.
(along with a new picture thankfully )

Its not as if i was gonna be a driving instructor anyway. Not with the points i'll have
