I loved doing this so much, we did it 3 days on the trot down a 10km stretch of the Nam Song River in Laos. Spoke to a bloke in a bar who had done it 12 times on the trot! If left to drift, you could do the stretch in about 1 hour. Most people start at 8am though stopping at every mudbar en-route and don't finish til after dark - I know it was terrifying river tubing in the dark!

I will return there

It is wicked, you'll be gunning for the rapids then you'll get a rope thrown to you, it'll be someone at a mud bar trying to give you free whiskey and sell you Beer Lao in 660ml bottles - this happens 10 times at least on the way down the river Some of the bars you'll spend 4-5 hours at and are wankered by the time you get back in the tube

I thought about starting a UK River Tubing thing up - then found out that it breaks nearly every UK Law in Health & Safety.

Good on ya - get a decent waterproof bag/tube for round your neck, I tell you you'll make your life SOOOOO much easier with it. Although I didnt find it too hard to spend sopping wet money in such a poor country.
