Don't hotlink pictures from Pistonheads. They don't allow it and then when you go onto the site you still get brocked from viewing the image until you clear your history which is a ball ache.

not always about bhp, torque is just as important, its still shit in terms of bhp per 1000cc.

Its not shit at all, wow so it hasn't got massive peak power
Tell me what car you could go from 20-150mph in 4th gear all at the same rate of pull all the way up. Plus stick a supercharger and say hello to 500+bhp straight away, and even more pull.
Its not mind blowingly fast, but its smooth V8 power. And can be tuned to well over 1000+bhp. Have a look at the Auzzi stuff, or any modern corvette with the new 6.2 lump...
Its detuned, performance per £. Compare it to an A63 AMG merc or BMW M3 V8.... Not bad for £35k i'd say.

You can also get 1,000bhp out of a 3.0 straight 6 cylinder supra, but your right. For the money, there isnt anything close to the VXR8

I like jap cars and won't mind owning one but how do they get the equivalent to that power from a small engine ... a turbo. The 434bhp available is raw power.
And for those that grumble about depreciation ... come on do we all buy cars to think about depreciation or to have some fun? This car is meant for those who want a new V8 with some kick at a good price.

japanese cars are great, skyline gtrs are the ultimate for me but if you have a small engined car with massive bhp then torque will suffer and lag becomes a issue.
i dont like the american engineering stlye with cars but its simple and affective.
why are people saying american, i thought it was australian?
