there good engines, get a different inlet and some mild cams and once mapped you could be knocking on the door of 150bhp

Never had one problem at all with mine, its been in my car a year and done around 8/9k miles. Its never refused to start once.

my old x14xe

headgasket went bang at 101k and then engine went bang at 106k
new sport which is x16xe is alot lower milage but has given me more trouble upto now

Mine was great. Nice strong engine with no problems. Even after 110k it ran like a dream everyday

air flow meter i think
i got a x16xe used to have a 1.0l and the power difference is nice plus mine dose'nt use a lot of fuel when driven properly

yer afm = air flow meter. Big ass sensor that sits on the intake pipe near the airbox. Usually causes some jip at some point or another from what I have heard.

ive got x14xe and its basically the same engine so i will say something lol....my headgasket went at 106 but other than that no problems at all. Bascially on 115k now and its shit hot. I just dont nail it from bone cold....and i change oil every 3-5k.
