had to get rid of the sh**y grey plastic side strips so sanded down and painted havnt finnished them all yet but hers sum pics

That finish looks pretty good! Rattle cans or compressor? Really need to get mine done gloss black

rattle cans from halfords
only thing is the colour is slightly diff and ive t-cut the car round thm but there not on the car as yet doin bumpers 1st

How do you get the finish that good mate? I cant get mine that shiny when i do it.

I do -

Sand down with wet and dry proberly like 400 / 600 grit

Prime about 2 - 3 coats

Rub down with 1500 wet and dry under the tap.

Paint about 3 coats

Lacquer

But doesnt look that shiny?? am i doing something wrong or not doing something for that matter.

hold on, have you taken a closer look in real life?

how can you tell its a good finish from a picture

I used to put too little paint on so the finnish was dull. Now I apply a nice coat of paint and it comes up shiney

yea its all about how much paint you put on if u just cover it it cums up dull but its kinda hard to explain u gotta spray n make it kinda thick but shiny n thn do the nxt bit and the same with the laqur otherwise it dose cum out dull just hav to b carfull other wise it will run asspesaly the laqur
